The Directed Blood Donation Physicians Order form must be filled out and signed before a Blood collection center will draw, store or release Blood specifically donated for future use by a particular individual. Physicians may order collection of red blood cells, or other Blood components and, in the case of pediatric need, divided red blood cells. These directed donations must be made by appointment through a local Blood collection center and its directed donation program.
